According to him, the film was scheduled to conclude at 6:30 p.m., at which point he intended to resume his job. To his complete astonishment, however, the film started at 4:30 p.m. following streaming movie trailers and ads that “wasted nearly 30 minutes of the time”.The consumer court ordered PVR Cinemas and INOX to make up for the complainant’s losses, stating that “time is considered as money.” The complainant was ordered to pay Rs 50,000 for unfair trade practices and time waste, Rs 5,000 for emotional distress, and Rs 10,000 for “filing the complaint and other reliefs” from PVR and INOX.
